Obituary

Rosemarie Joseph Evans was born on August 30, 1957, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Willie and Brinnie Joseph Lane. She attended school in Tampa until her senior year, where she met and married, the late Michael Evans. Later, they both moved to New Mexico, where she completed her education, graduating from Alamogordo High School. Rosemarie was a strong independent woman with a feisty spirit. Though some may have perceived her as stern, those who knew her best understood that she had a heart of love and generosity, she would give her last to those in need. A hardworking and devoted mother, she always ensured her children were cared for. Over the years, Rosemarie found strength in her faith accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior. She instilled in her children the values of independence, perseverance, and unwavering faith, often reminding them to walk with God so they could one day reunite in his kingdom. Her greatest Joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. Among her cherished bonds was the one she shared with her nephew, Michael Cory, whom she could always rely on.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnathan Lane; aunts, Minnie Jones and Marie Mims. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, cherished by her children, Tyca J.L. Evans, Ebonie Evans (Jermy), and Cornelius Mitchell (Marla), Haddie Miles (Jerimel); siblings, Edward Joseph, Martha Brim, Willie Lee Bowles, Alan Lane Sr., Sara Lane, Cora Lane and Avonta Lane; grandchildren, Ta'shai Aldrich, Darryl Robinson Jr., Ivory Cromartie, Jeremiah Evans, Cornelius Mitchell III, Jermaine Mitchell, Ja'Nariah Davis, Cyncere Mitchell, Ellie Evans, and Carmelo Micthell; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Miles, Ja'Meir Henry, Jzhelle Robinson, Juelz Robinson, and Mi'Yair Robinson and the host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly. As the Lord welcomed her home with these words" Well done, my good and faithful servant," her spirit now rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith and resilience. "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" Phil.1:21.
