Roxann Marie Bates, 69, of South Amboy, New Jersey, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Roxann was a devoted wife to Kenneth, a loving mother to Amanda and Maurice, and a cherished grandmother to Ieesha and Tanner. She also leaves behind her siblings; Cindy, Ronnie, and Mary, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Born on January 21, 1955, in South Amboy, New Jersey, Roxann was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a woman of strong will, once she set her mind on something, it was challenging to sway her opinion. Her granddaughter, Ieesha, held a special place in her heart, and their bond was unbreakable. Roxann had a variety of hobbies that she pursued with passion. From painting to sewing, cooking, and car detailing, she immersed herself in each activity with enthusiasm. In her lifetime, Roxann touched the lives of those around her with her caring nature and support for her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

She is survived by her husband, children, granddaughter, grandson, siblings, and extended family. Predeceased by her father, Russell, and mother, Mary, and brothers, Mervin and Phil.
