Ruben was born on October 24, 1936, to the late Ruben Yeoman, Sr. and Laura Mae Yeoman in Tampa, Florida. Ruben attended the Hillsborough County school system and graduated from Middleton High School. He enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served his country for many years and retired as a Tech Sargent (E6). Ruben married Bettye Stevens and together they had four children, Larry, Gayle, Ruben III, and Sabrina Yeoman. He continued to work with the federal government through the veteran administration. Ruben and Bettye dissolved their matrimony, and several years later, he married Juanita Jones, his "Sugawaggawagga". Ruben had many talents, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was a hard worker, strong willed, and smart man who was always willing to help others. He loved the Lord his Savior deeply. Ruben attended First Baptist Church of College Hill. He loved NASCAR, tinkering around fixing things, basketball, baseball, and football. Alabama was his favorite college team, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers his favorite NFL team. Ruben was battling a host of health issues. He was strong about going HOME and was determined to go on his own terms. He transitioned at home in his bed.

He leaves to cherish his memory; spouse, Jaunita Yeoman; children, Larry Yeoman, and Gayle Bartalatta (John) , Ruben Yeoman III (Charwyn) (all Tampa, FL), Jeanette Henry (Robert) (of Las Vegas, NV); sister, Vivian Gibson (CO); sister-in-law, Barbara Cooper (Randallstown, MD); nieces, Joy Gibson (CO), Marsha Rosser (MD), Evora Cooper, Karen Cooper, Karla Moore (all of Tampa, FL), Towanda Cooper (Odessa, FL), Terri McCree, and Alicia Murray ( both of Tampa, FL); nephews, Wilbur Gibson II (OK), Michael Malcolm (Patricia) (Hughesville, MD), Jeffery Malcom (Washington, DC), Archie Rosser II (Fort Washington, MD), Kenneth, Carlton II, Robert III, Donovan (Justine) and Deon Cooper, Paul Alexandre, and Grafton McCree II; grandchildren, Bryan, Taras, and Sharika Yeoman, (all of Tampa, FL), Tianna Henry (NV), Ray Smells (Orlando, FL), and Shannon Smell (FL); cousin, Mark Rosser (Kim); fourteen great grandchildren and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
