A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ruby J. Campbell Perkins of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, will be held on Saturday, January 30th, at 12:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Ruby was born on July 26, 1938 to the late Keiser Edmond and Ida Mae Powell in Valdosta, Georgia. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa. Ruby loved to crochet, being with her family, dancing, and telling jokes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son; Eric Campbell; and sisters, Maggie Watson, and Jeanette Brown.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Belinda Jackson (Donald), Lloyd Campbell, Veronica Campbell, and Cindy Campbell (Kelvin Major); stepson, Dwayne Campbell; grandchildren, Erica Jackson Scott (Michael), Sherica Cobb (Walter), Donald Jackson, Jr., David Williams III, Willie Campbell, Nicole Jordan (Mary), Shameka Campbell, Patricia Campbell, and Herbert Mobley, Jr; great-grandchildren, Rashard Parker, Jabez Reddick, Mario Evans, Tyra Cobb, La'Trell Cobb, Tyana Cobb, De'Miyah Jackson, Jay'Miyah Jackson, Damari Jackson, Mari Williams, Davisha Williams, Jalisha Givens Campbell, La'Tricia Campbell, Broderick Buchanan, Mario Buchanan, A'miyah Jeffery, Freddie Jeffery IV, and Londyn Campbell; brothers, Johnnie Brown, Jr. and Gregory Brown; aunt, Emma Griffin; niece, Pamela Brown; nephews, Billy Brown (Julie) and Al Brown; a host of cousins; and special friend, Arlene Jackson.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 29th, at 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
