Ms. Ruby L. Thomas was born on August 13, 1942, to Oscar Brooks and Ellen Terrell in Perry, Florida. Ruby loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed yard sales, baking, cooking and planting flowers in her garden.

She was preceded in death by, mother, Ellen Terrell; sisters, Elouise Byron and Lillie Williams; brothers, Robert Bradley and Willie Terrell; son, Fred Thomas, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; son, Dennard Thomas; daughter, Carla Thomas; grandchildren, Cedric Gilchrist, Limart Gilchrist, Tashika Washington (Jamal), Mahogany Thomas, Freddie Thomas III, Jerrell Thomas and Shayla Thomas; great grandchildren, Mutrey Gilchrist, Michayla Hillard, Limart Gilchrist, Jr., Michael Hillard, Jr., Cedric Gilchrist, Jr., Demariaa Gilchrist, Travone Clark, Montery Gilchrist, Amorris Washington, Aliyiah Thomas, Mahsir Thomas IV, Jazmin Thomas and Shayne Joseph III; great-great grandchild, Ashanti Gilchrist; nieces, Marcia Hair (Claude), Sallye Pierre-Louis, Patricia Byron, Marlene Newton (Michael), Ellen Green and Theresa Green; goddaughters, Helena Green and Bennita Gowins.
