A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Rudolph Bell 'Rudy' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Church, 4209 N. 34th Street, with Rev. Bryant Faison, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Rudolph Bell, affectionately known as 'Rudy' was born in Tampa, Florida on May 15, 1933. He lived his entire life here with family and friends. He had special needs from birth and after the death of his parents, his sister, Mrs. Verdell Rodgers became his permanent caregiver. He was a faithful member of Greater Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Church from childhood, with perfect attendance, until debilitating illnesses prevented his presence. He also enjoyed attending New Orleans Adult Day Care for ten years. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Aster and Leola Bell, five brothers and two sisters. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his sister and caregiver for more than 60 years, Verdell Rodgers (Ernest) with a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins near and far. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
