A homegoing celebration for Rudolph (Rudy) Canady will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Aikens Funeral Home2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Rudolph (Rudy) Canady was born on January 13, 1951, in Tampa, Florida to the late Melvin Canady Sr. and Johnnie Mae (Lemons) Canady.

He graduated from Blake High School and attended Hillsborough Junior College in Tampa. Rudy worked several years as a branch manager in the mortgage industry field. Rudolph (Rudy) was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Mae (Lemons) Canady, and father, Melvin Canady Sr. and brother-in-law, Ervin Miller.

Loving him and cherishing his memories are: 2 daughters, Twila Canady and DaTonya Creary; 2 sisters, Luvenia Canady Turner and husband, David Jr., and Ernestine Miller; 3 brothers, Melvin Canady Jr., and wife, Delilah, Ernest Canady and wife, Debra Leah, and John Quincy Canady; 2 nieces, Tara Turner and Temika Canady; 4 nephews, Marcus D. Turner, Jonas A. Oliver, Melvin Canady III and David Canady. To mourn his loss are 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and well-wishers. The visitation for Rudolph (Rudy) Canady will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10:00 am -11:00 am followed by the funeral service. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at approximately 10:45 am.
