Mr. Rudolph A. Francis, lovingly known as "Rudy", passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was born to parents, Manassah and Madeline Francis, on May 19, 1936, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Rudy attended Charlotte Amalie High School, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. While attending Hampton, he joined their ROTC program which spurned a successful military career. He went on to achieve the rank of Brigadier General in the Virgin Islands National Guard, where he served until eventually retiring. Rudy was also a successful businessman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manassah and Madeline Francis; and spouse, Carol W. Francis.

Rudy will be remembered as being generous, faith-filled, and funny. He enjoyed attending church, studying the bible, talking to friends, and listening to music. His passion in life was to make someone's life better. He leaves a host of friends and family to cherish his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you donate in Mr. Francis' name at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
