Rufus was born on July 27, 1965, in Tampa, Florida, to Rufus Lee and Fannie Mae Diggs. His favorite activities were reading, crossword puzzles, drawing, football (Bucs), video games, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Lee and Fannie M. Diggs; grandparents, Exodus and Eddie Mae Moore, Walter and Hattie Mae Diggs; and sister, Beverly A. Diggs Lewis.

He leaves precious memories with his daughter Danyell Diggs; sons, Rashard Diggs-White, Rayshawn White and Roderick Diggs; grandchildren, Qwmae White, RayShawn White Jr, DaKarri Davis, DaNarri Davis, Tamia White, Zyeer White, Stravaski Thomas, RayShawn White III, DeShaun Thomas, QuayShawn White and Jamarion Thomas; brother, Tim Diggs; sister, Sharon Moore; uncles, Edsel Moore (Dora), Butner of NC, Arthur Diggs, of Eufala AL, and Eddie Diggs, Sr.; aunts, Mamie Lois Barker of Detroit MI and Maggie Moore; nieces, Mya Diggs and Brittany Lewis; nephews, Mario Bennett and Julian Soto; and a host of other family and friends.
