Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Mr. Ryan Keith Dennis of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 will be held Saturday, January 21st, 2:00 p.m. at Cathedral Faith Church, 6304 N. 30th St., Apostle James H. Howell, pastor, with Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ryan was born April 21, 1976 in Tampa, Florida to the late James Dennis and Jacqueline Davis. He resided in Boston, Massachusetts, but Tampa, Florida was where he considered home. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and Hillsborough Community College. He was employed by Ramcon LLC. Ryan was a very intellectual man. He was a devoted Muslim and had a passion for reading and writing poetry. He will be remembered for having a caring heart, he always gave to anyone who was in need. He will also be remembered for his joking nature he loved making people laugh and befriended anyone he encountered. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Dennis, Sr.; grandfather, Ernest Tyrone Davis; grandmother, Myrtis Dennis; great uncle, Robert Davis; great aunt, Mollie Graham; uncle, Larry A. Davis; cousins, Dollie Mae Knight, Inas Rashada (Yoli) and Michelle Johnson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Messiah Dennis and Ryan N.K. Dennis; god-son Michael Booker; mother, Jacqueline Davis; grandmother, Veronica Davis; wife, Akia White; step-father, Ronald Golden; god-father, Alif Majied; siblings, Kendon Davis, Khalil, Hasan and Malik Majied, Zakeya Jones, Ronica Golden, Kenneth Bradford, Tameka and James Dennis, Leon Nesbih, Dalena Dennis, Erick Brooks, James Dennis, Kisha Perry, James Dennis (Red), and Nicole Gye Qyame; aunts, Ernestine Davis, Susan Davis Langham, Sharon Davis, Katie Davis Brown, Sara Davis and Hafeezah Rashada; special uncle, Derrick Fields; uncles, Michael, Ernest, Shane, Kenyatta Davis and Cedric Robinson; special cousins, Alexia Carter and Chad Moore; special friends, James Pickens, Antron Troupe and Odell Barnum; a host of other loving family and friends to cherish his memories. There will not be a public viewing but the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, January 20th. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
