Obituary

A Graveside service for Ms. Sadie Lee Jackson, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2021 will be held on Saturday, February 6th, at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave, Tampa, Florida, Florida Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will follow.

Sadie Jackson was born on November 13, 1941, to the late Joseph Jackson and Stella Thompson in Tampa, Florida. Sadie was a beloved, selfless mother, granny, great granny, mother-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin, friend, servant, and child of God. She was a woman full of love, empathy, and kindness with an overwhelming spirit of servitude as she always put the needs of others before her own. She had the unique ability to make all that came into contact with her feel immediately known and important and she would give her last if that's what it took to put a smile on a face.

Along with several family members, Sadie is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Aretha Michelle George, whom she loved tremendously.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her loving sons, Andrew Corbitt and Charlie George Jr. (Trevia); stepson, Aubrey D. George; grandchildren, Andre Corbitt, Yomika Corbitt, Devonte George, Eric Moore, Charlise George, Charles George, Chayse George and Charis George; devoted sister-in-law, Charlie Mae Walker; devoted family friend, Alberta Ellison, and a host of other family members and friends. Sadie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and is mourned by the staff of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, FL where she was a member.

The family and close family friends are asked to meet at the graveside, Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave, Tampa, Florida, on Saturday for the service. We will be following the CDC COVID guidelines.
