Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sallie B. Dennis of Tampa, who passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015, will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2:00 p.m. at Highland Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. North St, with Pastor P Anderson, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Sallie was born on July 3, 1949 in Eufaula, Alabama. She was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sports, wrestling and her stories. She also loved doing yard work and had a green thumb. She had amazing cooking skills, everyone loved her potato salad. She always kept an immaculate home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Curtis Dennis; mother, Lucinda Thompson; father, Sam Johnson; sisters, Annie Locke, Martha Mae Johnson and brothers, Leroy Johnson, Clarence Johnson and Willie James Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Mario Dennis, Denise Dennis and Gloria Dennis-Brown (Quentin); grandchildren, Eddie Williams V, Tatyana Williams, Malic Williams, Ashari Brown, Mario Dennis, Jr. and Jaden Brown; brother, Mike Johnson (Isabella), Eufaula, Alabama; sisters, Lillie Johnson, Tampa, Rosella Johnson, Tennessee, Eula (Otto Rodgers), Tennesse, Annie Doris, Alabama, Carrie Simmons (Sidney), Alabama, Lucille Patterson, Alabama and Willie Fae (John Franklin), Alabama; nieces, Nicole Johnson, Tampa and Cierra Patterson; nephews, Jason Smalls and Sammuel Johnson; sisters-in-law, Hafeezah Rashada (Abdul), Georgia, Shirley Johnson, Eufaula, Lula Mae Johnson, Tampa and friend, Delorise Lester, and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 11th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
