Homegoing celebration for Mr. Samson Brown 'Whistleman' of Tampa, Florida who passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 will be held Thursday, March 31st, 6:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd., Rev. Tom Jones, pastor of Heaven Destiny Church, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery on Friday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. Samson Brown was a member of Heaven Destiny Church. He loved to socialize with family and friends, playing pool and blowing his whistle. He also was a true Buccaneer fan. Samson was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Brown, Sr.; daughter, Regina Brown; brothers, Archie Brown and Alphonso Brown; sisters, Ora Lee Perry and Jessie Mae Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories with his spouse, Debra Brown; children, Denise Brown Jones (Jeremy), Samuel Brown, Jason De'Jesus, Samson James Brown, Jr. and Jermaine Williams; a host of grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; mother, Ora Lee Mack; brothers, Solomon Brown, Jr. and Otis Lane; sisters, Aletha Perry (Claxton), Alma Jones (Bobby), Perry Brown-Dixon (John) and Cora Brown (fianc Tony); nephews, William Brooks and Andre Arenas; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Martha Carlton 'Mott' and Arleta Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Thursday for the service. The repast will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at Macfarlane Park, 1700 N. Macdill Avenue, Shelter # 411 Tampa, FL 33607 from 8am until sunset.
