A Memorial service for Mr. Samuel Godbolt, Sr, of 7814 Wichita Way who passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 will be held Friday, December 11th at 11:00 am at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Curtis Jones, officiating. Mr. Godbolt was born on June 5, 1915 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah and Rebecca Godbolt. Mr. Godbolt was raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and was a World War II Veteran in the United States Navy. Mr. Godbolt was preceded in death by, his wife, Mrs. Essie Mae Godbolt; brother, Levy; sisters, Essie Mae, Teresa, Marie and Rosanna; and a daughter, Grace Godbolt-Hunter. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: children, Johnnie Mae Godbolt, Claudia Godbolt-Brinson, Samuel Godbolt, Jr., David Godbolt, Joe Godbolt, Jerome (Shirley) Godbolt, Barbara Godbolt-Warren (Henry), Ricky Godbolt (Ophelia) and Keith Godbolt (Paula), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. There will not be a viewing. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 A.M.
