Samuel was born November 29, 1946 to Eddie B. Grimes and Ada Ree Teel.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy Grimes; son, Samuel L. Grimes, sister, Martha Grimes Watson and brother/cousin, Johnny Foster.

He leaves precious memories with the Grimes family and extended families; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends; and special friend, Juanita Seawright. Special thank you to Ella Seniors Residences, and to all who have sent cards and flowers. "We thank you all for your love".
