Samuel was born on December 10, 1956, in Arlington, GA, and his life was a testament to his loving, kind, and humorous spirit. Sam dedicated 38 years as a Longshoreman, where he was respected for his hard work and camaraderie. Beyond his professional life, he was a true family man, reveling in his role as a loving husband to Veronica Thomas and a cherished father to Samuel Fiffie (Ardrey), Samuel Dickerson (Zoey), Jerone Fiffie (Dana), and Victor Thomas (Jantel).

Sam was the pillar of a large family that included a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will all deeply miss his presence. An avid BBQ enthusiast, Sam was known for his culinary skills and the joy he found in spending time with his loved ones. His ability to fix anything earned him the endearing title of a "Jack of all trades, master of none.

Sam was preceded in death by his beloved family members: Rose Anthony, Gene Anthony, Jeffery Fiffie, Elizabeth Miller, and Ruby Williams. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
