A homegoing celebration for Mr. Samuel 'Cisco' Oliver, Jr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 will be held Saturday, January 14th 10:00AM at St. James AME Church, 5202 S. 86th St., Rev. Michael Price, Pastor, with Rev. Dwayne Sanders, eulogist and Pastor John Paledino, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Samuel Oliver, Jr. was born March 2, 1959 to the late Samuel, Sr. and Virginia T. Oliver. Samuel Oliver, Jr. was a 5th Degree Black Belt in Martial Arts - Tae Kwon Do, and was a Martial Arts instructor. He was also gifted with his hands as a talented artist, drawing and designing for businesses and promotional events, and creating inventions. Samuel also enjoyed fishing, gourmet cooking, and giving to others who were in need. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jude Dawson, Jr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his daughter, Lameka Oliver; grandchildren: Ashonti, Antonique, Antonio II, and Angel Reeves; brothers: Michael, Sr., Gerald, and Eric (Darlene) Oliver, Sr.; sisters: Desiree (David, Sr.) Cheeseman, Nina Dawson and Bridget (Andrew, Sr.) Gordon; aunt, Juanita Hamilton; nephews: Michael (Katrina) Oliver, Jr., Kenneth (Natalie) Garard, Jr., Jamell Chapman Johnson, Andrew Gordon, Jr., Kirkland Garard, David Cheeseman, Jr., Andres Gordon, Eric Oliver, Jr., and Michael Finger; nieces: Shani (David) Smith, Shanshe Dawson, Andrea Gordon, Julia Cheeseman, and Asia Oliver; cousins: John Milton, Paula (Garry) Lowe, Twanda Hamilton, Michael McCloud, Rosalind McCloud, Gail Hamilton, Charleston Hamilton, and Gregory Hamilton; closer than a brother, Larry Sanders; and a host of other family and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
