A Homegoing Service for Miss. Samya Martinique Gillette-Smith of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, will be held on Saturday, November 6th, 3:30 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, Peace Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Apostle Otha B. Lockett, officiating.

Samya was born April 30, 2006, in Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed singing, dancing and most of all socializing with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, James and Lillie Mae Mack and grandparents, Henry Gillette, Sr., and Willie Jane Gillette. She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and dedicated mother, Tacoma Smith; father, Keith R. Gillette and stepfather, Tyrone Williams, Jr.; grandparents, Maxine and Elijah Smith; brothers, Jaheim Thomas DAngelo Smith, Kevon Gillette, Keith Gillette, Jr., Raheim Gillette and Shakquan Brown; sisters, Zombia Dukes, KeiNya, Keiarra, Kira, Quana, Keinesia and Keyatta Gillette; aunts, Dawn Carter (Lee Jackson), Sade Smith (Terrence), Timika Gillette, Phoebe Andrews and Marquita Gillette; uncles, Charles Smith ( Teresa), Henry Gillette, Jr. (Kathy), Jovan Gillette, Oliver Gas, Jessie James Mack (Peggie), Willie James Mack (Sharon), Roosevelt Mack (Theresa); special friend, Sayvion Woods; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 5th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
