A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Sandra Louise Alvarez of Tampa, Florida who passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, will be held on Saturday, July 28th, 11:00 a.m. at Exciting Faith Alive Church, Rev. Antonio Hawkins, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Sandra Louise was born January 11, 1954 in St. Augustine, Florida to the late Samuel Alvarez and Pearl Dukes. She attended the local schools of Johns County. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, travelling and was an excellent seamstress. She was preceded in death by foster parents, George and Edna Boone; brother, Morris Kidd and sister, Virdee Boone. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted children, LaShawnda T. Alvarez, David L. Sanks (Malika) and Dayna W. Curry, all of Tampa; grandchildren, Turhan J. Glover, David M., Darien J. and Derrick J. Sanks, Symone L. and LaNahsa L. Baker, Imani J. and Darius J. Williams; George H. and Zhania Murray; Andre M. Lovett; great grandchildren, Zaydan R. Goulbourne and Avia Waynette; brothers, Rovert Boone (Ann), Gregory Boone (Earnestine), Dell, Tony (Sirleena), Wayne and Torray Boone; sisters, Etha Kidd, Deonna Mayweather (Ray), Joyce Deon (Frank), Lorraine Burgess (James), Emily Bell (Johnny), Wendy George and Torrie Pironneau (Samty); aunt, Modestine Dukes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, the Alvarez, Dukes and Preston families; dear friends, co-workers and family and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
