MRS. SANDRA ROSS Mrs. Sandra Ross of 1000 A 12th Avenue passed away Monday, January 5, 2009. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 10th, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., with Rev. Dr. Thomas Scott, officiating. Interment will take place in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ross was born September 7, 1957 in Tampa, Florida. She attended the schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Brandon Senior High School, class of 1975. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was very creative using her artistic abilities and gifts. She leaves to cherish loving memories: her husband, Kelvin Ross; son, Alfonso McCray; 4 grandchildren; mother, Carolyn McCray; father, Fred Chester; step-mother, Ora Chester; sisters, Gayle Richo and Shellond Chester, of New Orleans, LA; aunts, Betty Bryan, Leanders McCray, Linda McCray, all of Tampa, Louise Robertson, of Valrico, FL, Cora Martin (Harry), of Brooklyn, NY, Thelma Inghram (Clinton), Rita Anderson (Lawrence) and Vernita Boone (Willie), all of Tampa; uncles, John Chester (Rita), of Detroit, MI, Frank Chester (Magalene) and Curlie Chester (Lisa), all of Tampa; and a host of sorrowing nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home Friday (today) from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel approximately 10:45 a.m. Saturday for the service.
