Memorial Services for Mrs. Sara Allen Taylor of Tampa who passed on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, will be held on Monday , September 26, 2011, 11:00 a.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Reverend Beverly Hill Lane, officiating. Sara was born on March 11, 1938 in Tampa, Florida. Sarah attended Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a loving , energetic, woman who loved baseball, spoiling her grandchildren, and the art of crocheting. She was reared in a religious home by her loving parents, Minnie Hall and the late John Lee Allen. She was preceded in death by spouse, Sydney Taylor; sister, Ida Mathis and uncle, Eddie Lee Clark Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories, children, Jeanette Hepburn; grandchildren, Justin Hepburn (Sherran Hepburn), Andrew Hepburn, Marcus Hepburn;great grand children, Javani Hepburn, Jamai Hepburn, and Raina Hepburn; brother, John Allen Jr. (Estell Allen) of Kentucky, sister-in-law, Rose Wilson of Delaware; niece, Faith Offuit; nephews, Dan Mathis Jr.(Lisa Mathis), John Allen III, and Kenny Bryant; cousins, Deborah Knight, and Sadie Singleton; god son, Adrian Johnson and a host of other family and friends... .
