A homegoing service for Mrs. Sara Ann Wright of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 will be held on Saturday, August 18th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Apostle James H. Howell, Senior Pastor of Cathedral of Faith Inc., officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Sara was born on October 21, 1933 in Quincy, Florida to the late James Wright, Sr. and Essie Mae Robinson. Sara was a member of Cathedral of Faith Church. She loved working at Boy Scouts of America Organization and spending time with her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Luke; parents, James, Sr. and Essie Wright; daughters, Theresa Wright, Sharon Wright and Carolyn Wright; son, David Wright; brother, James Wright and sisters, Jimmie Lee Bellamy and Willie Mae Caradine. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Bobby (Nadine) and Linda Wright, Glenn Dukes, Gary and Lonnie Brown, Teresa Baynes, Sharon, Ricky and Johnny Robinson, Michael Luke, Rose Brooks and Brenda Gregory; grandchildren, Johnny Gay (Tenise), Charles Wright, James Huff, Rico Simmons, Willie Mitchell, Jr., Gerita Burgess, Satura Wright, David Wright, Jr., Danielle Wright, Gustavo Wright, Rashad Edwards (Ida), Carla Edwards, Aqkino Wright, Darrin Williams, Artice Pride and Ciesha Solomon; a host of great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Young; sister, Blanche Hadley; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; nurse, Ms. Catea; devoted friend, James Freeman close family and friends, Thelma Thomas, Lillian Simmons, Dosha Hart, Benito Torres, Lois Hunter, Annette Jordan, Gail Hussins; godchildren, Delores Parker and Pete Smith; and a host of other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
