A Homegoing Visitation Mrs. Sarah Carolyn Clemons, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 will be held on Friday February 19th, at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tampa, Florida, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sarah Carolyn Clemons was born on February 18, 1945 in Quitman, Georgia to the late Robert J. Shelton and Sylvia Allen. She and her older siblings later relocated to Tampa, Florida where she was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. She was employed with the Hartline Transit Public Transportation where she became the first African American woman to achieve 30 years of service retirement. She was also a longtime Eastern Star Member. Sarah was baptized at an early age and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Albert A. Robinson Jr. and Mary Levette; grandparents, Sam and Mary Nelson; uncle, Willie Nelson, Sr., aunt, Annie Mae Wright; nieces, Cynthia Barner and Gail Anderson; nephews, Bobby Wright and Charles Wright; cousins, Delores Mungin, Mary Cason, Sammie Nelson, Sr., Willie Nelson, Jr., and Robert Nelson.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories daughter, Angela P. O'Hara; sons, Terrance O'Hara and Freddie L. Clemons; grandchildren, Tameka A. Hayward (caregiver), Kenyata and husband, Takeena O'Hara, and Terrence O'Hara, Jr.; sisters, Annie Pearl Thompson, Alma Kinsey (Samuel), Mary Robinson, and Patricia Lawson; nieces, Tanya Jackson Akbar, Linda Shelton Whaley, Robin Kinsey, and Pia Pierre (Sonny); nephews, Rick Kinsey and Ronnie Kinsey (Tameka); goddaughter, Linda Gail Wolfe; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. We are following the CDC guidelines.
