Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Sarah Lee Timmons-Ferguson who passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 will be held Saturday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Sarah was born on April 27, 1931 in Brooksville, Florida to the late Levi Timmons, Sr. and Rosa Elizabeth Timmons. She graduated from the Hernando County School System and Florida A &M University. She retired from the Hillsborough School System as an educator. She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Edmond, Anthony, Levi and Clarence Timmons; 3 sisters, Queenie T. Dye, Eloise D. Lane and Joyce E.T. Richardson and a loving and devoted spouse, Mr. Saunders J.B. Ferguson; She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories with daughter, Tara Ferguson-Bristol; son, Reginald L. Ferguson; 1 sister, Catherine Hudson (Richard); 2 brothers, Eugene Timmons (Inez) and Robert Timmons; grandchildren, Shelby and Skye Bristol, Tarita Ferguson, Samaje Nelson, Felicia and Theresa Hall; special granddaughter in Christ, Ashanti McBride; godchildren, Stan Fossit, Alicia Spencer-Evans (Joseph) and Jacqueline Cochran-Blocker (Willie); special son in Christ, Larry Walker, Sr.; special neighbors, the Lighon Family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 18th one hour prior to the funeral service.
