A homegoing celebration for Mr. Selevin Hammonds of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Selevin was born on July 22, 1956 in Tampa, Florida to the late Elsie and Georgia Hammond. Selevin enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Georgia Hammond; sister, Dorothy Raglin and brother, Elsie Hammond, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories with his spouse, Mary; children, Selevin Hammond, Jr., Demetrius Hammond, Tavia Robinson, Simeon Rhanes, Eric Hammond and Rosalee Hammond (Sharonda); grandchildren, Alantra, Selevin, Kayla, Selena, Bernard, Colleen, Jason,Zy'kira, Simeon, Jr., Jermiah, Markevis, Markes, Markel, Marketavis and Clifford; great grandchildren, Markes, Jr., Keyanna and Kane; brother, Ansel Hammond; sisters, Ruth Barron and Meryl James; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, 38th Avenue Neighborhood Family. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
