Ms. Shardai Jackson passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd., Tampa, Florida Rev. Eugene Garnett, Pastor, Rev. Ricardo Robinson of Northside Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Shardai Jackson was born in Tampa, Florida on January 9, 1986. She was born to the Late Fay Leeks Simmons and Theodore "Honey" "Rock" Jackson. Shardai was educated in Hillsborough County School System and graduated from Jefferson High School Class of 2006. She continued her education at the Tampa Transitional School where she completed the Macy's Training Program. She was a member of Suncoast Girl Scout Troop #276 and All People's Life Center Afterschool Program. Shardai joined Northside Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida under the leadership of Rev. Jacob Jordan and was baptized and converted at an early age. A dedicated member of the Youth Department, Shardai loved serving in the youth choir. Shardai leaves to cherish fond memories: her father, Theodore "Honey" Jackson; one brother, Michael Leeks; three sisters, Stephanie Jackson-Moultrie, Shericka Jackson, and Jacqueline Coffie-Leeks; one nephew, Eric Leeks; three nieces, Zuri Moultrie, Keandra Leeks and Tia Leeks, aunts, Versia Shipman, Janie (Jasper) Sailor, Quincy FL; uncle, Matthew Harris, William Harris, Valdosta, GA; cousins; Roylette Jackson, Donna Jackson, Lori Jackson, Matthew Harris Jr., Johnnie Sailor, and Stella Sailor, Julius Braddy; and many other cousins, best friend, Taukera Oliver and other sorrowing relatives and friends include Carolyn and Bishop Holifield and Family, Nelline Hardnett, Meraldine Banks, Frankie Jones, Mary Williams, The Northside Church Family and The Springhill Church Family. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home, Friday, April 3, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. There will be no viewing during the service. The funeral cortege will arrange from 3008 E. 24th Avenue. Friends are asked to assemble at the church at 1:45 p.m on Saturday for the service.
