Tika was born on January 21, 1976, in Akron, Ohio, to Eric and Gwendolyn Salter. Tika enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Each week she would designate a day for cookouts, fish frys, and trying new Tik Tok dishes. Tika also enjoyed taking trips and self-care days. She participated in the YMCA Livestrong Program, where she met amazing people, who she considered her family. Throughout her life, her most precious and memorable moments were with her children. Tika was most loved for being an amazing mother to her children and a hard worker throughout her career and endeavors. She was a selfless and caring woman, who put those before her. She will be remembered for her words of wisdom, ability to help others, and her overall kindness. Although she will no longer be here physically, her spirit and memory will live on forever. Her faith remained strong throughout her lifetime, and there is no doubt she is living her best life in heaven. Tika, our mother, and guardian angel will tremendously be missed by many, but most of all her children. This is not a goodbye mom, but a see you later. We love you forever and May God continue to bless you.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Elsie Salter and Maxine Grant; grandfather, Allen Salter, Sr.; and uncle, Darrell Salter.

She leaves loving memories with her children, Briana and Carter Allen Salter, and Jaree' and Maliq Smith; grandchildren, Jayce Thompson and Kayden Isaiah Allen (expecting); parents, Eric and Gwendolyn Salter; brother, Chaz Salter; sisters, Lynda Salter and Erica Salter, and Faith O' Bannon; a host of aunts and uncles; niece, Yania; nephews, Lirique and D'Allen; cousins, the Salter-Vinson families; and a host of friends.
