Homegoing services will be held, Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Minister George Brooks, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea St. Tampa, Florida 33610. Mr. Sheldon Morris Young was born on April 7, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Starling Young, Sr. and Marlene Young; both parents preceded him in death. Sheldon was also preceded in death by his brother, Starling Young, Jr. Sheldon was the brother of eight children and he attended Senn High School. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was employed at Creative Coating, Inc, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sheldon's health challenges were debilitating and our merciful God relieved him of all discomfort as he quietly made his transition and was ushered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013. He leaves to cherish his loving memory now and forever: daughter, Angela Young; 5 step-children, Julita, Donna, Donnie, Denise and Deontay; 5 sisters, Donna (John), Wendolyn (Jimmie), Margaret, Tyra and Bernice (George); 2 brothers, Emiel and Jason; 3 aunts; 3 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
