Sherman Jones was born on December 15, 1971, to the late Dennis Henry and  Betty Jean Jones in Tampa, FL. He graduated from Tampa Bay Tech c/o 1990 and received a degree in Computer Science from Hillsborough Community College. At the time of his departure, he was employed by US Citizenship and Immigration Services. Sherman had an outgoing personality, a great sense of humor, he loved to dress and look nice, and his smile would brighten any room. He was the comedian of the family, was fascinated with listening to legendary comedians, he believed in Jesus Christ and was baptized. His favorite gospel song was "You Brought the Sunshine "by the Clark Sisters. Sherman was a compassionate and helpful person, he loved "Superman" and was affectionately labeled as such by his coworkers for always being willing to leap in and help others when needed. He was a problem solver, and no task was too large or small. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Jones; father, Dennis Henry; brother Benjamin Jones Jr., aunt Yolanda Gadis, uncles, Richard Dean Gadis, Rufus "Toby" Gadis, Gregory Reche Gadis, Anthony Gadis and nephew, Talmadge Jones.

Sherman is survived by his loving and dear sister Karen Simmons, nephews, Vincent Simmons Jr. (Trineshia), Travis Simmons (Bryanna), Christian Davis, great nieces & nephews Vincent III, Vinecia, Samaia, Jeremiah, Destyni, Islah, Zyion, Rock Lee & Jiraiya, aunts Tommie Lee Anderson, Emma Dean Brown, Cassandra Grandville (William) and Elaine Everhart, an uncle Delano Gadis Sr., as well a host of cousins, his special friend Jackie Williams and best friend Lisa Nelson.
