Homegoing celebration for Ms. Shirlenia Handy of Tampa, Florida who passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 will be held Saturday, April 4th, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd, Pastor Debra Scott with Apostle Harold Scott, officiating. The interment will be in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Brandon, FL. Shirlenia was born January 30, 1967 in Tampa, Florida to the late Moses Parker and Shirley Handy. Shirlenia enjoyed taking care of her family and she loved her children just as much as she loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, LaRue Beal, Elijah Floyd and Chadwyk Sampson; brothers, Joseph Handy and Don Romero; sisters, Venus Woodard, Josie Handy and Carmen Romero; niece, LaSylvia Handy; nephews, Al-von Woodard, Fabian Woodard and Samuel Woodard; grand-nephew, Ronan Shilingford; cousins, Alfred Allen and Willie Cochran, Jr.; godson, Byron Allen; brother-in-law, Allen Woodard; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday April 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
