A homegoing celebration for Ms. Algertha Clinton 'Bea' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, will be held on Saturday May 25th, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street., Pastor Evan S. Burrows, officiating. The interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Algertha was born on March 8, 1939 to the late Dave Clinton and Amanda Nathan Clinton. She was member since 1971 of First Baptist Church of College Hill, where she served faithfully and sang in the No. 2 Choir for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, fishing, gardening and dancing. She was a member of the Eastern Stars Evening Light, Chapter 2 International Mason. She was preceded in death by her son, Lenorris; siblings, Johnny, Ollia, Joseph, Rosetta, Earmon, Gilbert, Dave, Evla, Lila, Barbara, El, Vanor and Hurbert. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Glenda Jean Williams, Valerie Clinton Appling (Arnold), Wayne Williams, Sr. (Sandra), Jeffery Clinton, Anthony Clinton (Kim) and Jimmy Braswell; grandchildren, Glennis, Antwuan, Tabitha, Wayne, Jr., Myesha, Dustin, Taivian, Jarmall, Gloria, Cherika, Soraya, Chauncey, Courtney, Sequoya and Shannon; 17 great-grandchildren, special great-grandchild, Ayden Hampton; sister, Queenester Pride (Henry); brother-in-law, Thomas Smith; best friends, Thelma Bennett, Juanita Shoemaker, Allene Bowers, Mary Lois Hawkins, and Shirley Carr; and a host of other sorrowing relatives, friends and church members. The visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of College Hill on Friday, May 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will be present during the visitation to greet friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the funeral ceremony.
