A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sonja V. Johnson Robertson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 will be held on Saturday, July 17th, 11:00 a.m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Pastor Ricardo Robinson; Rev. Leonard Harrington, officiating.

Sonja V. Johnson Robertson was born November 23, 1967 to Sonja was born in Tampa, Florida on Thanksgiving Day to the loving and proud mother Mrs. Carolyn Johnson Williams. At the age of 9 Sonja accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor F.G. Hilton. Sonja attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and graduated in 1987 in the 1st class of Blanche Armwood Senior High School in Seffner, Florida. Sonja was certified in childcare and was employed with numerous Child Development Centers. Sonja later joined Northside Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ricardo Robinson where she served as a member of the W.O.W. Women's Ministry and as a Greeter. Sonja's heart was dedicated to the Youth Ministry at Northside. She faithfully poured out her love to all the youth and assisted in teaching the Holy Scriptures and with the Youth Choir, Youth Dance Ministry and any other Youth activities. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. Willis and Mrs. Pocahontas Johnson and stepfather, Mr. Eugene Williams. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her Faithful husband, Mr. Kenneth Robertson; loving daughters, Ms. Ebony Johnson (Kevin) and Lateshia Streeter; devoted mother, Mrs. Carolyn Johnson Williams; brother, Jason Williams; dedicated and Loyal Aunt, Osa Russell; aunts, Sandra Flowers, Deloris Hill, Debra DeVard, Sunday Reese, Elizabeth Belton, Wynell Mitchell, Carolyn Brooks, Paulette Andrews, Yvette Courchaine, Patricia Chaney, Charlotte Wright and Carolyn Russ; nieces, Synovia Petty, Keairra Williams and Sianna Williams; special cousin, Minister Romenthia Fitts and Beatrice Overton; genuine friend, Kevin Streeter; and a host of sorrowing youth, loved ones and friends.

The visitation will be held Friday July 16th at Aikens Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday.
