Steffan was born on November 2, 1961 to LaRue Dorsey, Sr. and Fulteen S. Dorsey. He was baptized at an early age and attended Zion United Methodist Church in Ocala, FL. He was a member at Bible Based Fellowship Church. Steffon went to Marion County Public Schools. He graduated from Forest High School in Ocala, FL. He continued his educational pursuits and graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa. In 1991, he married a sweet young lady from Fort Pierce, FL, whom he referred to as, "Minnie Mouse", named Christie Dorsey. They made beautiful memories for 33 wonderful years together. His professional career included working for The Sears Department Store at the age of 16 years old, working there for 36 years. Later, he pursued a career as a security guard with Safe Touch. Steffan loved bowling, traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LaRue Dosey, Sr. and Fulteen S. Dorsey; brother, James Jenkins; and sister, Erma Dorsey.

Steffan leaves to cherish his loving wife, Christie Dorsey; children, Florence Dalgado ( Brayan), and Shaquila Walden; grandchildren, Aiden Johnson, BreAnn Massaro, Persephone Delgado, Brayan Delgado, Jr., and Ava Gibson; brother, LaRue Dorsey, Jr.; sister, Loretta Dorsey; aunt; Juanita Gill; godchildren, Ada Scott, and Timothy Bennett, bonus brothers, Billy Slater (Vera), and Tony Rhodes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
