Stephanie P. Baker was born on September 14, 1951, to Austin Baker and Miriam
Hampton in Brooklyn, New York. Stephanie was a woman of many interests, dreams
and goals. She received, completed and was awarded diplomas, degrees, and certificates
in the industries of modeling, acting, social work, executive administration/secretarial,
nail technician, travel and auto sales, trucking transportation, tax filing, entrepreneurship,
information technology and lasty, holistic healing and spiritual awareness. Stephanie had
a passion for learning and was always in college, enrolled in a course or attending a
seminar. She read a book daily. Moving from Brooklyn, New York, Stephanie relocated
to Estill, South Carolina, with family where she spent her teenage years up to adulthood.
Stephanie moved back to New York to raise her children and pursue a career in modeling
and acting and then relocated to Tampa, Florida in 1980 to finish raising her children
along with two bonus children. Stephanie's biggest joys and accomplishments were her
children, entrepreneurship/increasing wealth, which included forming and co-owning a
business in all areas of interest, one being the 1st black-owned travel agency in Tampa,
traveling as far as Africa, France, and Belize, and spiritual awareness. She was loved
greatly by her children, siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces
and nephews and other family and friends.
