Mrs. Stephanie (Step) Johnson (62), died Saturday, June 26th, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Henry and Mary Lomax. She spent her early years in Winter Haven, Florida. Then she later moved to Manatee County in 1967. She attended the public school system in Manatee County. Later she moved to Tampa, Florida where she later met Bennie Johnson in 2001 and they later wed in 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Lomax; brothers, Paul Lomax and George Lomax; grandson George Leach IV. She leaves behind to cherish her precious her husband, Bennie Johnson; sons, Krestal Johnson,Clarence Brown (son-in-law), Bryant Lomax,and Lewis Sherman; daughters, Delphine Brown, Dolcinia Brown, Eva Sherman, and Marissa Dixon; grandsons, Andrew Thomas, Alexander Oliver, Ricardo Sellers, Antonio Brown, Damion Johnson, Keenan Johnson, StephanJones, Lewis Antonio Sherman III, Kaillou Matthew, and Dean Sherman; granddaughters, Susan Thomas, J'myla White, Joybennet Walker, Jai'Da Johnson, Erin Monae Sherman, Erin Polite, and Breeze Amor Williams; great-grandchildren, Alexander Oliver II, Nyazha Thomas, Kayla Matthewson, Ya'Riah Ellison, and Mia Oliver; brothers, Charles Lomax, Willie Lomax, Christopher Ogletree, and Cedric Ogletree; sisters, Glorystine Smith, Bonnie Lomax, Carolyn Lomax, Charles Lomax, Etheleen Wilson, and Patrica Ogletree. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
