Sylvia Deloris Milian, affectionately known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, was born on July 17, 1940, in Tampa, Florida, to the late William Monroe and Gertrude Coy. She was raised in Tampa, where she attended Middleton High School and formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Sylvia was a loving and selfless woman who was always willing to help anyone in need, often going out of her way to lend a hand. Her kindness touched many lives and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially reading, which she greatly enjoyed. Known for her calm and accepting nature, she was often heard saying, "Oh, Well," a phrase that reflected her steady and graceful approach to life's ups and downs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Monroe and Gertrude Coy; nephews, James Cole and Clarence Brooks; brother-in-law, Robert Cole; beloved sisters, Juanita Brooks and Madelyne Cole.

Sylvia leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted husband, Marcelino Milian; loving sons, Gynaro Milian, Reynaldo Milian (Valerie); stepchildren, Albert, Sonja, and Alex Milian;  niece, Caletha Brooks; close friend, Selena J. Thomas and Sam Kinsey; and a host of nephews, cousins and dear friends. Her legacy of love, compassion and quiet strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
