Homegoing celebration for Ms. Sylvia Elaine Williams of Tampa who passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 will be held Saturday January 25th, at 4:00 p.m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N 40th Street, Rev. Ricardo Robinson, pastor, with Elder Rufus Hutchinson, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Sylvia Elaine Williams was born January 16, 1960 to Otis Williams, Sr. and the late Hannah Wedlaw. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Wedlaw; grandparents, Pearl Williams, Rollin Williams, Sr., Benjamin Peterson and Idella Morris and aunts, Aretha Wiggins and Floyd L. Sneed. She leaves to cherish her memories with father, Otis Williams, Sr; brothers, Otis Williams, Jr., Romando Williams, Andrew Williams and wife, Andrea; sisters, Sandra Williams, Marsha Jones and husband, Johnny, Lillian Williams and Teresa Williams; aunts, Pearlene W. Scott, Maple W. Devine, Mary F. Jones and Mattie D. Brown; uncles, Alfred Peterson, Booker T Peterson, Raleigh Williams, Jr., and Cornelious Williams; 8 nieces, 10 nephews, and a host of grand nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home, Friday, January 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the wake from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
