Obituary

Memorial services for Ms. Tasha Nicole Ricks-Campbell of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, will be held on Saturday, August 20th, at 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with Dr. Cametra Edwards, officiating. Tasha was born October 25, 1966; she fought a courageous battle against cancer. She was employed for over 20 years at the Hillsborough County Clerk's office. A lifelong Tampa resident, she graduated from King High School and the American Business Institute. She was an aspiring artist and had won numerous awards. She was extremely creative and talented and had designed the Lucy Dell Neighborhood logo. She always had a beautiful smile, and a caring and quiet personality. She was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Williams and both grandmothers, Rosie Jean Turner and Thelma Ricks. She is survived by her mother: Martha Williams; father, James O. Ricks, Jr.; brother, James O. Ricks III (Enjunique); sisters, Jane Yolanda Ricks and Kentareya Williams; stepson, Leroy Campbell, Jr.; nephews, James O. Ricks IV, Brandon D. Horace and Alexander J. Ricks; a niece, Tasja Williams; and a host of cousins, neighbors and friends. The family request in lieu of flowers donations are made to Lifepath Hospice. There will be no viewing. The family and friends are asked to meet at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday for the service at the chapel.
