A Private Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Teresa Mandy Walker of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 will be held Saturday, September 19th, 12:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Rev. Willie Marshall, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Teresa was born September 23, 1973 in Tampa, Florida to Michael and Geneva Mandy. As a youth she was raised in First Caramel AME Church, as an adult she later joined the family at Spring Hill M.B. Church. After graduating from her alma mater Hillsborough High School, Teresa set to further her education at the University of Altierus Career College by attaining her associate's degree in Business management. She pursued a career in the Health Care Management, where she accomplished many goals with her twenty plus years in the industry. Her last title was a Compliance Audit Specialist. A friendly, gracious, articulate, successful, accomplished individual she was, forever striving to ensure the success of her children and grandkids and creating generational wealth. Teresa was a family person, with a heart of Gold, always making sure anyone around her was having a great time and never wanting for nothing. This angel would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. In her free time she loved family and friends gatherings and you would always find her running the spade table with her best friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Sue Smith Mandy; grandparents, Peter 'Pete' and Erlene Jones Smith; grandparents, Willis, Sr. and Minnie Lee Mandy; uncles, Peter Smith and William Smith; aunts, Frankie Mae Griggs and Mayel Brown; cousins, Cheryl Harris-Smith and Wayne Brown.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, fianc, Phillip Knight; children, Jamela Davis (Jimmy), Dontavius Mandy (Eva), Ebony and Erick Walker and Tarick Barnes (Godson); grandchildren, Mia Davis, Aleya Davis and Jimmy Davis III, Emoni Brown, Malani Brown and Riley Brown; father, Michael Mandy, Sr.; brothers, Lawrence Holton, Jr., Michael Mandy, Jr., and Joshua Mandy; sisters, Sherece Mandy, Brittany Mandy and Tiara Mandy; host of aunts, Mary 'Mae' Francis Watts, Jeanine 'Jean' Griggs, Shirley Harris and Doris Andrews (Ike); host of uncles, Willis Mandy, Jr. and Clifford Mandy, Sr. (Marvis), Gerald Griggs, Nathaniel Waters and Anfernee Mandy; nieces, Aiyetora Olafemi Mandy, Zara and Amara Olafemi, Kali Olafemi Jackson, My'Kiela Godwin and Khadija Abbott; nephews, Danladi Olafemi, Malik and Michael A. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Saturday for the service.
