He served in the United States Armed Forces (Air Force) from 1982 until 1987. He was the recipient of many awards and honors in both his personal and military career.He departed this life on September 27, 2010. He leaves to mourn his loving wife: Mrs. Sandra Jemison Little, their son Jason Jemison, and granddaughter, Serenity Angelica Jemison; children from a previous marriage: Naomi, Stephen, Melita, Isaiah and Lamar Little; his mother, Katie Lee Little, and siblings: Ronald Mathis, Patricia E. Wilson, Larry G. Little, Raymond Little, and Phyllis Cote; mother-in-law, Edna Smith; father-in-law, James Hardy; two brothers-in-law: Edward Smith Jr., and James Hardy Jr., and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
