Obituary

A homegoing memorial celebration for Mr. Thedore Walter Johnson 'Ted/Cluster' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 will be held Saturday, December 23rd, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Esau N. Waters, officiating. Thedore Walter Johnson was born July 24, 1953 in Tampa, Florida to the late Luther Johnson, Jr. and Estella B. Johnson He attended the local public schools in Hillsborough County. He graduated from Brandon High School class of 1971, were he played baseball. He received Christ in his life at a young age. He was baptized by the late Willie James Cooper at First Baptist Church of Seffner, Florida. He had several jobs and retired from University of South Florida and started his lawn service. He was an Operator Engineer (1-2); maintenance mechanic and retired as a lead worker after 20 years of service at University of South Florida. His hobbies were riding motorcycles, traveling and spending time with his family. He just like having fun, he loved everybody he was a very friendly person and well respected. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella B. Johnson; brother, Luther Leroy Johnson (Reba W. Johnson), grandparents, Luther Johnson (Annie C. Johnson), Adella Snider (Eddie Snider); aunts, Beatrice Tucker (James), Myrtle Reed and Josephine Jones and uncle, Otis Johnson (Polly); cousins, Beatrice and Fannie Johnson and Clayton Everett. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his daughter, Vanessa Johnson (fianc Twon); son, Quinell Johnson; 2 granddaughters, Bria and Jayden; loving father, Luther Johnson, Jr.; 3 sisters, Linda Newton (late Elbert Jr.), Bertha Wynn (Marquis) and Francine Lavern Scott (Arthur); 1 brother, Luther 'LuLu' Johnson; 1 aunt, Annie E. Johnson; 2 uncles, Willie Reed and Marshall Jones; 4 nephews, Donald 'Red', Elbert III and Dantae Arthur III; 4 nieces, Lakeisha, Krystal, Marquisha and Destiny; 4 great-nephews, Ze'on, ZeKori, Ejayrius and Rokealen; 4 great-neices, Ze'Quoya, Enesia, Donjanay and Le'Aria; special friends, Johnnie Mae Monroe, Gerrie Dean Johnson, Jeannette Brown, Warren 'Smitty' Smith, Wardell 'PJ' Evans, Kenny 'Juice' Beard, Gary, Andrew, Kimo and Jose; a very special cousin and friend, Patty Alexander (Matthew) and a host of other relatives and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the memorial service.
