Theodore 'Big
Foot' Nelson Johnson
September 29, 1953 – April 25, 2024
Mr. Theodore "Big Foot" Johnson was born on September 29, 1953, to the late Seretha Brown Johnson and Willie James Johnson Sr. He was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. Theodore graduated from Plant High School. He retired from the City of Tampa as a Heavy Machine Operator. For twenty years he owned and operated Ted's Tree Service. Big Foots was a loving and kind person, not only to his family and friends but to anyone he met. Some of his favorite movies included Harlem Nights, My Cousin Vinny and O Brother, Where Art Thou. He enjoyed listening and dancing to music. Basketball was his favorite sport, which he played. He also was a huge New York Giants fan. He had exceptional culinary skills and was known for his famous "Foots" fried fish. He prided himself in the way he looked in his "get up" attire.
He was preceeded in death by his mother and father Seretha Johnson and Willie James Johnson Sr., daughter Tellecia "Sharron" Johnson, brothers Jimmy Lee Sr. and Isaiah (Ike) Johnson, sister Estella L. Simon and Sister-in-law Linda Johnson. Big Foots memory will continue to live on through his children: Cornelius Brown Johnson, Quentin and Jamese Johnson, Therica "Shan" and Terrica Johnson
He will be missed by his siblings: Willie James Jr. and Francis Johnson, Allen Michael Johnson, Weltha Wharff, Ira Dean Johnson (Robert), Brenda Johnson, Pamela Johnson,and Izola (Alverez) Bolden. His Grandchildren whom he adored: Andrenisha "Bookie" and Tyronn Bruce, Da'Viviantaye, Kanyon, Amir and Camille Johnson, LoRonda Sandlin, Arriajah Cobb, Tellecia (T.T.) Tillman, Cornelius Jr. and Jade Burr. He cherished his great Grandchildren: Zhy'moni, Kayonni and Kei'Anthony. His special Goddaughter Nadja. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends Robert, Willie, Earl, Bo Jackson, Mr. Jet and his dedicated workers, beloved family
friend Kathy Pringle. Big John's Alabama BBQ family, friends, and staff.
