Homegoing services for Mr. Thomas Ashley of Tampa, who passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012, will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 10:00 a.m. at New Bethel M.B. Church, 3011 East North Bay Street, with Rev. Reginal Webb pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Thomas Ashley was born on October 30, 1951 in Tampa, Florida to the late Wilbert & Alzada (Hall) Ashley. On August 30, 2012, he was called home upon by God to join him in eternal life. He was educated in the Public Schools of Hillsborough County, where he proudly graduated from Middleton High School. Thereafter he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country from 1970 to 1972 in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Foreman at Patent Constructions for over 25 dedicated years, after which he retired. He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife, Eloise Ashley; father and mother, Wilbert Ashley and Alzada Hall Ashley; grandchildren, Darryl and Da'nee Gordon; siblings, Christine, Freddie Lee, Theodore, Leroy and Lorenzo; son-in-law, Darryl; niece, Alzada and nephew, Micheal. He leaves to cherish his memories with his; son, Aishawn Roberts and wife Renee; daughters, Alma Ashley-Andrews and Valeria Gordon; grandchildren, Thomas, Michahi, Alex, Karrington, Elijah and Darius; sisters, Delores Ashley and Altamese Lewis; brother, Rudolph Ashley and wife, Geraldine; sister-in-law, Ruth Burch ; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 7th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
