Thomas Carter was born March 14, 1933, in Naylor, GA, to Willie and Estella Roberts-Carter. He was a devoted husband to the late Larvell Hall-Carter, proud father of the late Jean H. Carter, and beloved grandfather of Shannon Legrand-Range (Marcel). Thomas worked for many years as a foreman at ConAgra Foods. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. A Tampa Bay Bucs fan and a man of consistent, thoughtful action, he was always there when it mattered most.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Estella Roberts-Carter; wife, Larvell Hall-Carter; brothers, Willie Carter, Jr., Johnny Salph, Charlie Carter, and Leo Carter; sister, Rosetta Mathis; and daughter, Jean Carter.

He is survived by his sister, Vertie Oxford; aunt, Mable Arnold; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Carter, Evelyn Carter, and Lavern Riley; granddaughter, Shannon Legrand-Range (Marcel); devoted caregiver, Derricka Starks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
