A homegoing service for Mrs. Thomasina Wright Norwood of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 12:00 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc., 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. Howell, Sr., pastor officiating. The interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Thomasina was born July 7, 1950 in Varnville, South Carolina to the late Thomas Wright and Lillie Mae Harrison. Thomasina was a member of Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Curtis Norwood. She leaves to cherish her fond memories with her children, Natalie Jean-Baptiste, Myron Jamel Norwood, Kevin Norwood, Ashlee Simpson and Curtis Norwood; grandchildren, Quiana and Zaria Jean Baptiste, Vanessa Janae George, Zamya and Kevin Norwood, Jr.; great grandchild, Kennedy Molo; brother, John Cherry (Madeline); sisters, Bevain Johnson (Tyrone), Shirley Andrews, Joan Miles and Gloria Vickers (Danny); aunt, Justine Doctor; nieces, Persephanie Byron (Carey), Ranae Collins Bodden (Yaphett), Tasha Hawkins, Amber Lamar, Uhyra Hardrick (Melvin) and Kayla Vickers; nephews, Xavier (Lashawn) and Nigel Johnson, Griffin Myles III, Denzel Vickers, Jabari and Juwan Cherry and Sanchez Andrews; great nieces and nephews, Marquissa, Markiyah and Marquae Covington, Sachia Setia, Tyrin and Jalen Hardrick, Michael Butts, Imari and Jovante Lamar, Niah Byron, Nijae and Xavier Johnson, Jr., Bobby and Tamrine Miles; cousins, Thomas Wright (Johnnie Mae), David Doctor (Carnella), Richard Doctor (Gwendolyn), Mairlyn Langston, Frank Yellody (Carol), Bobby Dubois (Betty) and Rafus Doctor; and a host of other family, friends and church members. The visitation will be held on Friday, October 28th from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
