Homegoing services for Mr. Tommie Lee Tolbert of Tampa who passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 will be held Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m., Hood Temple Zion Church, 3608 26th Street with, Rev. Tom Jones, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Tommie was born in Springhill, Alabama and he attended Rebecca Comer High School. He moved to Tampa at an early age and continued his education at Middleton High school. Later he met and married Theresa. Tommie was preceded in death by his father, Tommie Lee Tolbert Sr. and mother, Ida B. Stafford; and son, Tommie Lee Tolbert III (Little Zarr). Tommie leaves to cherish his memories; his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Theresa Tolbert; sons, Anthony Tolbert (DeAnna), Everett Tolbert (Tanisha), Gerry Tolbert; daughters, Tangela Tolbert and Marecia Tolbert; grandsons, Da"Vahne Mosley and Anthony Tolbert, Jr.; granddaughters, Deanndra Tolbert; T"Keyah O'Neal, DayJana Tolbert, Vanessa Tolbert and Briauna Tolbert; stepfather, Earnest Stafford; sisters, Earnestine Stafford, Hazel Greene and Barbara Streater; brothers, Alfonso Tolbert and Willie Tolbert (Janice); sister-in-law, Joyce Green, Debra Norton and Elnora Clark (Bobby); brother-in-law, Herbert Norton; special friends, Darrell Gilbert and Rubin Golphin; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 19th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
