A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Toyka Jenique Crooms of Tampa, Florida who passed away on September 7, 2021, will be held on Monday, September 20th, at City Life Church, 6616 E. Chelsea St Tampa FL 33610. Pastor Ron Simmons of Designers Way Church officiating.

Toyka was born on August 21, 1979, to Eugene and Theresa Shuler. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1997, attended Florida A & M University, and graduated from Trinity College in 2016. She was employed by Suncoast Federal Credit Union for 17 years. Her last position was as Operations Supervisor. She was a member of Designers Way Church under the leadership of Pastor Ron Simmons. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, event planning/decorating.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John Walker and Theresa R. Johnson; paternal grandparents, Simon Lundy and Mary J. Wallace; uncles, Michael Wallace and Donley Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Benjamin C. Crooms; parents; sister, Erika Shuler; aunts, Carolyn Lundy and four children, Tammy Higgins (John) and two children, Anissa McNeil (Eric) and five children; uncle, Anthony Harris and five children; grand uncles, Dr. James Redmon (Adarna), Andrew Redmon III, Lewis Redmon, Lonnie Hill, Sammie Smith, Jesse Redmon, Phillip Redmon (Delores), Matthew Redmon (Andrea), and John Redmon; grand aunts, Pauline Capers, Yvonne S. Williams, Ivalita S. Woods, Paulette S. Debose, Sandra Smith (Walter), Bobby Bethea (Willis) and special friends, Jessica Williams, Marshal Vines, Tammy Juste and Jeremy Carter.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. Tampa, Florida 33610 on Sunday, September 19th from 4:00 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to wear purple and meet at the church on Monday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
