A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Ulyesses Hudge, Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 11:00 a.m. at Peace Progressive M.B. Church, 2607 E. 24th Avenue, Pastor Sylvester Robinson, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Ulyesses was born in Camilla, Georgia to the late Lee Hudge and Alice Willingham. He came to Tampa at the age of 2 and attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. He worked for Kash N' Karry (Sweetbay) for 45 years as a meat cutter and as an umpire and coach for several years at Belmont Heights Little League. Ulyesses departed this earth with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Alice Foster; 2 brothers, Stanly Foster and Anthony Foster. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his beloved wife, Joyce Ann Hudge; daughters, Vislia Williams (Kevin) and Vaunita Matthews (Micheal); 6 grandchildren, Christopher Hudge, Aurielle Simmons, Kevin Williams, Jr., Keyvia Williams (Lee), Destiny Harris (Antron) and Million Matthew; 6 great grandchildren, Christopher Hudge, Jr., Roniya Dixon, Ronnell Dixon, Markeyia Goodson, Marycia Goodson and Skylar Purgear; 3 brothers, Charles Foster, Clayton Foster, Jr. (Lida) and Milton Foster; sisters, Eunice White (Ricky) and Ann Foster; 3 brothers-in-law, Ralph Timmons, Samuel Timmons and Ricky Timmons (Lisa); 3 sisters-in-law, Mattie McPherson (Samuel), Leathia Johnson (Bobby) and Carolyn Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday March 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
