A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Ulysee Heard 'Shorty'will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida. Pastor Phillip Jenkins, officiating. Interment will bein the Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ulysee Heard was born on August 13, 1941 in Savannah, Georgia, to the late James Heard and Emma Spikes. Ulysee spent over 40 years working for the International Longshorman's Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dorothy Jean Mitchell Ette Rogers.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Mary Heard; children, Sonovia Heard, Falicia Crew Tomoris, Juyan Heard, and Vicky Davis; grandchildren, Kameron, Kayla, Kaylon, Makayla and Kalani Crew, Brianna Davis, Whitney Baxley, Erica Cannon, Kawana Blackmon, Brandy, Brandon, and Jontavios Heard, Khaliyah Pride, Roshaud Heard, Quantaria, Arius, Ayden, Innis, and Enzo Ette, Annastasia Goolsby, Tiara Hollinger, Dorkeicia Bouquia, Innis Usoro, Nsikan, Itoro, Inni, Jessica, and Davion Boquia; brothers and sisters, Lossie Ann Mitchel, James Heard, George Heard, Eloise White, Leila Spikes and Johnnie Spikes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special thank you to the Longshorman's for all of your support.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines. The services will be live-streamed at www.aikensfuneralhome.com website.
