Homegoing services for Mrs. Utah Clark of Tampa who passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011, will be held on Saturday, July 16th, 2:00 p.m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Ricardo Robinson, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Utah Clark was born in Collinsville, Mississippi on August 3, 1924 to the late David Calvert and Tina Flossie Windham Calvert. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ at Pleasant Chapel Church in Collinsville, MS. She graduated from Hopewell High School. She was united in holy matrimony to the late R.T. Clark and later moved to Tampa, Florida. She was a dedicated and devoted wife for 59 years until his passing. Mrs. Clark was also actively involved in her community. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Willie B. and Willie C., Mance and Ruth Calvert; sons, Ivory and Haven Clark. She leaves to cherish her memories children, Robbie Clark, Larry Clark, Neretha Clark and Linda Clark; grandchildren, Cassandra Campbell, Jeneatha Clark, Jaime Clark and wife, Diedra, Lenika Mitchell, Joesell Clark, Issac Ward, Shaquita Taylor, Raheem Ward, Sindney Ivory, Demetrious Clark, Antonio Clark, Shannon Ward, Eldora Madry, Connethia Clark, Marie Ward, Dominique Ward, Aisha Clark, Marie Ward, Christopher Ward, Maurice Ward, Laurette Clark and Terrante Ward; great grandchildren, Deontray, Ezavia and Shantelle Clark, Ternisha Howard, Ariel Jones, Roderick Rivers, Jr. Tiniya Royal, Evan and Trenton Clark, Dontavious Ward, Destiny, Aliyah, Latoya and Roshard Taylor, Tashina Campbell, Makayla Newson, Kweli and Caleb Howard, Tylia Ward and Toni York; brother, Mucie Calvert of Mississippi; sister, Juanita Parker of Memphis, TN; brother-in-law, Ruben Grier; nieces, Flossie Russ, Daisy Winters, Ann Hoper and Elois Calvert; nephews, Howard Bates, Norris Bates and Dennis Calvert; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends; special friends, Minnie Gant, Ernestine Kelly, Patricia Robertson, Addie Sailors and the Royal family. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
